says:Have a 5.35 Barcrusher and was wondering if there might be a way to use same to fish Barred creek. The water looks very fishy and for the first time ever I wish I had a smaller boat. It looks like a very likely Barra location? Is there a reasonable launch location without risking life and limb?

says:Hey Rod, this is a great argument for why we all need at least 2-3 boats 🙂 I never heard of barra getting caught in Barred Creek… I’ve seen and lost only 4 in Willie Creek and I fished it heaps! Never saw a croc in barred either, but that doesn’t mean anything, there is a resident in Willie. If your deadset keen on getting in there, probably wait for a calm day and launch from Willie creek… The most success I had was further up at Hidden Creek and across roebuck bay at Yardogarra Creek… I used to tow my 4m up to hidden, but a bar crusher is too big and risky… you would have to motorboat, neap tides are the only time i’ve seen and caught barras around Broome creeks.
