A gently sloping beach along here fishes best for Whiting. Pipis and Sandworms can be caught all along here. 4wd access is good, drive along to find some nice looking gutters and fish the incoming tide for Bream, Tailor, Whiting and the odd Mulloway.

Where to go fishing near Sandon Beach?
- Sandon Hole Fish the deeper hole here for Bream and the occasional mulloway. The runout tide here produces Flathead along the small drop offs. The mouth of the Sandon upstream at the fork is a sanctuary zone.
- Sandon yabbies 02 Another great spot to pump yabbies, fish the incoming tide here for Whiting with the freshly pumped yabbies!
- Sandon River Oyster beds Fish the incoming tide for bream along this stretch of the Sandon River, oyster aquaculture.
- Toumbaal Creek Fish the outgoing tide for Flathead and Bream. Soft plastics hopped along the bottom works well, live yabbies also work great here. Upstream from here is a sanctuary zone so no fishing!
- Sandon Yabbies Good yabbies beds here, pump yabbies on the low tide and fish the incoming tide for Whiting, Bream and Flathead.
- Sandon River Mouth Bream, Flathead and whiting, incoming tide fishes best. Yabbies beds upstream on the sand flats in the middle of the river.
- Plover Island Tailor can be caught on both sides of this little headland. Bream and luderick are also common catches. Mulloway at night.
