There are a couple rock bars around this section of the river, take care navigating. Heading downstream from Normanton towards Karumba, fish these rocky sections around the first big bend. It is worth continuing on to fish Six Mile Creek, as the mouth of the creek is a great spot to try some lures. A couple kilometres downstream you will hit the first of the Baffle Islands (see more on the Baffle Island Group page).
