Barramundi Cod Chromileptes altivelis
A rarely targeted species, found from Shark Bay around the top to Sydney.
Barramundi Cod are found in tropical and sub-tropical waters and can be found as far south as Dirt Hartog Island and North of Sydney.
Barramundi Cod hand around in silty reef areas to a depth of at least 40m. Juveniles live in shallow water and are occasionally seen in rock pools at low tide.
