These freshwater lagoons fish great in the dry season for barramundi. The best is small poppers on light gear around sunrise and sunset. Shallow diving suspending lures are best during warmer months.
With rain, Gavial Creek runs and barramundi actively exit and enter the creek/lagoons from the Fitzroy River.
Crocs are regularly sighted. Extreme care should be taken along the edges of the creek and the lagoons- particularly if the creek is running.
